The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has suspended Sudan from participating in any of the top African club competitions. The ban takes effect immediately from today (Friday 7th July 2017) which prevents Sudan from participating in the African Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
The ban came as a result of evidences of government interference in the Sudanese Football Association (SFA). According to FIFA, the suspension and ban will be lifted once the SFA reinstates its president and its board of directors.
